“Pope Francis” dismisses the loyal followers of Pope Benedict XVI

On 28 August 2014, Pope Francis removed a key protege of Emeritus Pope Benedict XVI from the Vatican’s liturgy office and sent him back to his native Spain.

In 2008, Benedict appointed Cardinal Antonio Canizares Llovera as prefect of the Congregation for the Divine Worship and Discipline of the Sacraments. The office is in charge of regulating how Masses and other sacraments are celebrated, and under Benedict’s papacy took on a more conservative and traditional bent. No replacement was named yet.

In an interview with BuzzFeed News on 17 October 2014, Cardinal Burke confirmed publicly for the first time the rumors that he had been told Francis intended to demote him from the church’s chief guardian of canon law to a minor post as patron to the Sovereign Military Order of Malta.

“I very much have enjoyed and have been happy to give this service, so it is a disappointment to leave it,” Burke said, explaining that he hadn’t yet received a formal notice of transfer. “On the other hand, in the church as priests, we always have to be ready to accept whatever assignment we’re given. And so I trust, by accepting this assignment, I trust that God will bless me, and that’s what’s in the end most important.”

The Lord told us on 8 March 2013:

The false prophet – he who poses as the leader of My Church – is ready to wear the robes, which were not made for him. He will desecrate My Holy Eucharist and will divide My Church in half and then by half again. He will make efforts to dismiss those loyal followers of My beloved Holy Vicar Pope Benedict XVI, appointed by Me. He will root out all those who are loyal to My Teachings and throw them to the wolves.
